The short explanation of this alert was:

On Thursday March 4, 2010 KGA/KACS members received a legislative alert concerning proposed Kentucky tax changes with direct impact on their businesses.

House Bill 530 is now in the Senate and while there are other direct tax implications, a critical component would require larger retailers to remit sales tax collections sooner. Currently, retailers who have taxable sales of $500,000 in a month, resulting in sales tax collections of $30,000 in that month, are required to remit sales tax electronically under an accelerated procedure.

Participate in this KGA/KACS Get Active campaign to let your legislators know you oppose HB 530.
